STREETS and roads in Bock 13-D/1, Gulshan-i-Iqbal are in a shambles. Almost every street is potholed. In fact, the potholes seem to become larger with the passing of every month.
The vacant space in front of Gilani Station has become a huge dumping ground for garbage.
Trashis often burnthere,spreading pollution and making it difficult for residents and pedestrians to breathe.
Besides, it also becomes a breeding ground for flies, mosquitoes, cockroaches and rats.
Ihope that the authoritiesconcerned would start reconstructing the streets and removing the garbage on a regular basis.
