PESHAWAR: Elders of various localities here have expressed concern over the closure of the Hassan Garhi-Khyber Road by cantonment board officials and demanded of the station commander to order its reopening.
Speaking at a press conference here on Monday, a group of people led by nazim Sabir Khan and district member Mohammad Ibrahim alleged that the 400-year-old road was closed on the request of Shami Road Committee which caused serious problems for the inhabitants of different localities. The most affected people, said Mr Ibrahim, were students who were facing extreme hardships while reaching their educational institutions.
He said employees of both public and private sector organisations were equally suffering while going to and from offices due to closure of the impodant road.-Bureau Repon
