LAHORE: PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari reached the Punjab capital on a week-long visit on Thursday.
He is scheduled to attend wedding of central Punjab president Qamar Zaman Kaira’s daughter in Kharian on Friday (today) and chair meetings for party re-organisation in some south Punjab districts on April 8 and 9, says information secretary Chaudhry Manzoor.
The PPP chairperson had earlier cancelled the party re-organisation meetings in the second week of March reportedly due to attack on party leader Shaukat Basra.
It is learnt that soon after his arrival, Mr Bhutto directed the party cadre to be ready for an anti-government protest.
He said as Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif did not fulfill the promises made with the nation while forming the PML-N government, the PPP workers should be ready to come on roads for forcing the government to solve problems of the people.
