MIRPURKHAS: An irrigation depanment employee drowned in a deep watercourse in Shuja`abad taluka on Tuesday.
Police and residents of the nearby locality said that Dhani Bakhsh Leghari, who was serving as beldar at Jamrao Canal, was passing through Haji Mohammad Umer Bughio farm on his bike when the twowheeler plunged into the watercourse early in the morning.
His body was retrieved and sent to the Mirpurkhas Civil Hospital by local residents.
