Kidnapped landlord recovered from Katcha area

MUZAFFARGARH: A landlord who was abducted from the area of the Kundai Police Station has been recovered from the Katcha area in the joint action by Muzaffargarh and Rajanpur police.

A Muzaffargarh police spokesman said on Sunday that Chaudhry Zafar was recovered through action by the police of both districts and suspects involved in the incident were detained.

District Police Officer Dr Muhammad Rizwan said Zafar, a resident of village Kundai, some 120km from the city, was kidnapped by unidentified people in March. His family approached the police for his recovery.

BODY FOUND: The body of a seven year old boy was found in the area of Jatoi Police Station.

The police spokesman said the body was shifted to hospital for a post-mortem and added that doctors would tell whether the victim was raped before murder of not.

The DPO ordered SDPO Jatoi Tehsil Chaudhary Javed Akhtar to probe the incident.

TORTURED: A young boy was tied to a tree and tortured by 30 suspects in the Khangarh Police Station area.

According to reports, a brawl took place over a match between Khangarh Babbar and Meitla communities and it resulted in violence against the youth, identified as Muhammad Tariq.

Dozens of people froman influential family were involved in his torture with sticks and whips. According to the first information report, Tariq said he was going for labour when he was kidnapped and tortured by the suspects.

The mob gave a pistol in his hand and made his video but he cried and called the people for help.

The DPO said three suspects had been arrested while others would be arrested soon.

Khangarh police registered a case against 30 suspects, including 20 of them identified.

FRAUDSTER: A fraudster was arrested by Sanawan police for allegedly receiving Rs1 million from the family of a female undergraduate student on the pretext of securing a police job for her.

The police took action after a video of the student, Nadia, daughter of Haq Nawaz, a resident of Sanawan, who said she was tricked by the suspect, Abdul Majeed and her wife Saira Bibi, with the promise of securing a police job for her.

She said the suspect boasted of having links with police officers and showed her his pictures with some of them, promising to secure a job in the police department for her.

She alleged that the suspect received Rsim and some blank cheques from her father but did not get her a job.

The Sananwan police have arrested the suspect and his wife, registering a case against them under sections 379 and 420 of the PPC.
