Police solve blind murder case after 17 days

SAHIWAL: The Arifwala Sadar police in Pakpattan have solved a blind murder of a villager whose body was recovered from a canal two days after he went missing from village 153/EB on March 20.
The police said deceased`s wife had conspired to kill Ali Akbar with the help of her friend and an accomplice.
Reports said Ali Akbar, an agricultural labourer from village 51/ EVB, had discovered his wife Mumtaz Bibi`s affair with Awais Akram, another local.
Ali confronted his wife and warned her to end the relationship.On the night of March 20, while returning home on his motorcycle after attending the Mela Baba Qadeem Shah on Tarakhni Road, Ali was tortured, shot multiple times and his body was dumped in a nearby canal.
The next day, Mumtaz reported that her husband had not returned home. The police registered an FIR under PPC sections of 302 (murder), 109 (abetment) and 34 (common intention) on a complaint by deceased`s brother Akhter Ali.
The police uncovered the truth that Ali`s murder was orchestrated by Awais and his friend Qurban.
The police have arrested the suspects.

FAKE LIST: The LocalGovernment and Community Development (LGCD) director has canceled the license of a Nikahkhwan for attaching a fraudulent dowry list to a Nikah Nama.
Reports stated that the license of Muhammad Muzamil from Union Council No 39, Chak 01/10L, was revoked after Umer Sadiq, of Habib Town, alleged that the Nikahkhwan had attached a bogus dowry list to the Nikah Nama of a woman whose marriage took place on Feb 18.
The bride`s family approached Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mahmood after the groom demanded the dowry items listed in the falsified document. An inquiry substantiated the claims.
