SHIKARPUR: Jamaat-i-Islami leader and former MNA Maulana Asadullah Bhutto on Wednesday condemned Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MOM) chief Altaf Hussain`s statement ridiculing the armed forces and seeking support and military assistance of the Indian secret agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), in dealing with them.
Speaking to journalists at the Shikarpur Press Club on Wednesday, he also condemned the demand for creating a new province by dividing Sindh and termed Mr Hussain`s demand an attempt to foment linguistic riots.
Maulana Bhutto also observed that the government did not come out with a clear stand on the MQM chief`s anti-state statements.
The ruling party must realise its constitutional, legal and moral responsibilities, he said, and called for an investigation into the MOM leader`s intentions.
