TOBA TEK SINGH: Scores of residents of Chah Laal Wala in Kamalia blocked traffic on Kamalia-Chichawatni Road on Monday over delay in the autopsy of the body of a man who was murdered in a dispute.

Attiqur Rehman was allegedly shot at and injured by Mudassar and his accomplices outside his house after an exchange of words late on Sunday.

He was rushed to the Kamalia Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at 6am. When till 11am, doctors did not conduct the autopsy, saying that the Kamalia city police did not provide the hospital with documents of the murder case, the family put the body on the road and also burnt tyres and branches of trees to block the traf fic.

Later, the Kamaliaassistant commissioner directed the Kamalia THQ hospital medical superintendent to conduct the autopsy and his interference worked.

The Kamalia city police registered a case and were conducting raids to arrest the suspects.: Gunmen looted Rs2 million from a trader in Gojra on Monday. The police said distribution agency owner Zahid Rauf Kamboh came to a bank branch on Bank Street with his employee to deposit the cash when four gunmen riding a car hit them.

When both fell, gunmen snatched Rs2 million and fled. The police are investigating. Both trader and his servant were admitted to the Gojra THQ Hospital.

DIES: Kamalia tehsil PPP senior vice president Rana Iftikhar Ahmad died on Monday after a brief illness. Scores of people and politicians attended his funeral prayers at Ghousia seminary.
