FAISALABAD: Dozens of the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) students on Monday staged a protest demonstration at Millat Chowk on Monday against the university administration for declaring more than 700 students fail in a subject. It later transpired that issue was result of a computer error.

Carrying banners and placards inscribed withslogans against the administration, the students said more than 700 students of B.Ed had been declared fail in the teaching practice subject. They said they had requested the university administration for rechecking of the answer sheets as the error would put their future at stake.

The AIOU administration said it was a computer error which would be rectified soon and the main campus administration had been informed in this regard.
