KARACHI: The third meeting of the Information Consultative Committee of the Governments of Pakistan and Bharat, at its meeting held yesterday [May 6] in New Delhi, according to a joint Press communique ... welcomed the changed atmosphere that has followed the Delhi Agreement on Minorities and congratulated the Standing Committees of the PNEC and the AJNEC regarding their reciprocal action to foster ... a sense of security among the minorities of the two countries.
The Committee, which recommended `speedy action on parallel lines in the two countries` and decided that action on the subject, taken by either Government, should be promptly communicated to the other, [] also suggested that the efforts of all the information media should be directed towards the creation of an atmosphere which would be favourable to the implementation of the Minorities Pact.
... Besides reviewing the measures already planned by the two Governments in this connection the meeting also discussed the arrangements for liaison between the Joint Committee of the PNEC and the AINEC and the Pakistan-Bharat Information Consultative Committee.
