SAHIWAL: Malik Nouman Ahmed Langrial, who lost his Punjab Assembly seat for voting in f avour of Hamza Shehbaz against his party (PTI) instructions, has been awarded PML-N ticket for the upcoming by-election of PP 202, Sahiwal. The announcement was made by PML-N senior provincial leader Malik Nadeem Kamran while talking to Dawn by phone.

`Nouman will be a unanimous candidate of the ruling coalition f rom Chichawati,` he said.

Nouman won his ancestralconstituencyin the 2018 election by bagging 57,190 votes while his arch rival Shahid Munir of the PML-N obtained 44,196 votes.

During the previous election, both Rai and Langrial families from Kasowal were allies. But the situation changed when Imran ditched Jahangir Tareen and Langrials were the first to stand with him. Correspondent
