KARACHl: A teenage boy was killed allegedly by his father in the Manghopir area on Thursday, according to police and rescue services.

They claimed that Zulfiqar, 18, was murdered by his father, Gul Hasan, with an iron in rod Bakhsh Goth of Manghopir. The suspect hit the rod on his son`s head and escaped, they added. The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities.

Man shot at by bike-snatchers A young man was shot at and wounded by a gang of bike-snatchers over resistance in Manzoor Colony on Thursday morning.

Baloch Colony SHO Mazhar Kango said that six suspects riding three motorbikes intercepted Rasool Shah, 28, and tried to snatch his motorcycle and wallet. As he put up resistance, one of the muggers opened fire, wounding him. The gang sped away after committing the crime.

Mr Shah suffered bullet wounds on his leg and was shifted to the JPMC for treatment.

Two suspects shot, beaten A mob beat up two suspected robbers after a man shot at them when they tried to loot him in Nazimabad on Thursday, according to rescue services.

They said that the man shot and wounded the suspects during their robbery attempt near Baqai Hospital attracting many people present around. The mob also beat them up before arrival of the area police.

The suspects, later identified as Osama Fareed and Abbas Rehman, bother aged around 25, were shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
