IUB to have Rsl50m `Study Park`

BAHAWALPUR: Governor Rafiq Rajwana on Thursday laid the foundation-stone of a Study Park and inaugurated a day-care centre for the children of Islamia University`s employees at its Baghdad Campus.

The governor, who is also IUB chancellor said on the occasion that the Study Park having computer, internet and sports facilities would be established over 13 acres of land and cost Rs150 million.

The day-care centre has been built at a cost of Rs3.1 million for the var-sity employees` children.

IUB Vice-chancellor Prof Dr Qaisar Mushtaq briefed the governor about the university`s projects and worlcing.

The governor directed District Police Officer Sarfraz Ahmed Falki, who was present there, to assist IUB administration to make the varsity`s security foolproof and help it train the security guards.

Earlier, Mr Rajwana addressing a meeting of PML-N workers them of preferential treatment for solution of their genuine problems.

The meeting held at the local circuit house was also participated byPunjab minister Iqbal Channar, MNA Ms Sabiha Nazir, MPAs Qazi Adnan Farid, Fauzai Ayub Qureshi, Shoaib Owaisi and Ms Hasean Naz.

The governor said worl(ers were asset of the party and their sacrifices couldnotbeignored.

The governor, at a meeting with a delegation of Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) pledged every possible cooperation for the establishment of an industrial estate in the city.

He also announced a Fountain House, SOS village and an institution for the education and training of special children for Bahawalpur.
