Nine food outlets sealed

FAISALABAD: The district government has sealed nine fast food outlets on Thursday on charges of working in unhygienic condition.

DCO Noorul Ameen Mengal said various eateries were raided by the assistant commissioners of City and Saddar along with the staff of TMAs and environment department.

During raids, he said, nine restaurants were sealed for working in unhygienic condition and without the pure food license.

Among the sealed outlets are Chenab, Ashraf, Farooq, Hazara, Subhan and Gulsitan hotels dealing in traditional food. Similarly, he said, three fast food outlets, including Fri Chicks, Tabbag and Chicken and Chiks, on Gulberg Road had also been sealed. Condition of Oriental and Mr Wings was also not satisfactory.
