KOHAT: A tribesman allegedly killed his sister over a property dispute in Garden Colony here on Thursday.

Quoting family sources, police said that harsh exchange of arguments was going on in the house of a family from Orakzai Agency over ownership of certain property when Raziullah Orakzai got infuriated and opened firing at his sister who died on the spot. The accused later escaped from the scene.

The city police shifted body of the deceased to the Women and Children Hospital for autopsy.

A sister of the deceased woman has registered a murder case against her brother.

SEMINAR: The Frontier Primary Health Care organised a seminar and walk for creating awareness of breastfeeding here on Thursday.

District health officer Dr Abdul Khalig told participants of the seminar that mother`s milk contained ingredients which created immunity against several diseases in babies.

He said that mothers should not give formula milk to babies for two years.

The mother`s mill< contained colostrum, which was the first meal of all mammals, including humans.

Colostrum awakens, regulates and maintains all body systems.

It contains health components, including those that strengthen and balance the immune system.

The function was also attended by Women and Children Hospital`s medical superintendent Dr Sameen Jan.
