ISLAMABAD: PTI founder Imran Khan has given another protest call, this time on the country`s Independence Day, for the sake of `Hageeqi Azadi`, his sister Aleema Khan claimed on Wednesday.

Speaking to media persons outside Adiala Jail, she said their protest would continue, and yet another date would be announced after Independence Day.

`He [Imran] said Muslims won freedom on August 14, but unfortunately they could not get `Hageeqi Azadi` and now everyone has to raise their voice for the Hageeqi Azadi and the rule of law...,` she said while sharing her brother`s message.

Although it was sister Uzma Khan who was allowed to meet Imran, Aleema told reporters that her brother had thanked PkMAP chief Mehmood Khan Achakzai and MWM`s Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, who visited Adiala Jail and also showed solidarity with them.

`Imran was informed that both his sons have applied for the visa in the Pakistan High Commission, but the visa was being denied to them...` she claimed.

According to her, the PTI founder had directed that no one would contest the elections on the seats which had been declared vacant after the disqualification of PTI leaders convicted in the May 9 cases.

Meanwhile, PTI interim chief Gohar Ali Khan said that a large number of people held a protest on August 5, while the party`s General Secretary Salman Akram Raja said that the show could have been much better.

He said that those who could not participate should give an explanation.
