GUJRANWALA: The Saddar police arrested on Wednesday a couple involved in the abduction and murder of a minor boy in Talwandi Musa Khan.

Muhammad Latif told reporters he had given Rs200,000 to his neighbour Mansoor for a Saudi Arabian visa. A few days ago, his minor son Abdullah, who was the only brother of six sisters, disappeared. After two days of disappearance, the family received a Rs300,000 ransom demand on a paper from unidentified captors. Latif altered the police.

The police interrogated Mansoor and his wife Aasma.

The police said during interrogation, the couple confessed to kidnapping and killing Abdullah. They had thrown the body in nearby fields.

The police recovered the body and handed it over to the family after an autopsy.

A murder case had been registered against Mansoor and Aasma. The family demanded strict action against the accused.
