SUKKUR: As many as 136 inspectors and sub inspectors of Sukkur range police, including Sukkur, Ghotki and Khairpur districts, were transferred on Friday in the light of directives of Sindh`s inspector general of police.

Sukkur range DIG Capt (retired) Syed Feroze Shah issued a notification in this regard, which said the step had been taken to bring further improvement in the department and help restore and strengthen people`s confidence in police.

He directed district police officers concerned to keep an eye on the activities of criminal elements and suspected persons round the clock so as to help avert untoward incidents in the division.
