KARACHI: Senior journalist and former assistant editor of Dawn Abul Hasanat was laid to rest here on Sunday.

He passed away after a brief illness on Saturday at 69.

His funeral prayer was held at Jama Masjid Khairul Bashar in Block J of North Nazimabad, attended by journalists and notables in a large number. He was laid to rest in the Sakhi Hasan graveyard.

Soyem of Abul Hasanat will be held on Monday (today) between Asr and Maghrib; for men at Masjid Khairul Bashar near Qalandria Chowk and for women at his home, A-554/A, Block J, North Nazimabad.
