Appointment of women teachers at primary schools opposed

NOWSHERA: The local chapter of Jamiat Ulema-i-IslamFazl has rejected the proposed appointment of women teachers in primary schools and termed it agenda of foreign NGOs followed by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf.

`JUI-F would start agitation from Nowshera and would not allow enforcement of such agenda in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,` JUI-F district general secretary Mufti Hakim Ali Haqqani told journalists here on Monday.

JUI-F district patron in-chief Qari Mohammad Islam, district senior vice emir Shaukatullah Khattak and other leaders were also present on the occasion.

Mr Haqqani said that provincial government had decided to introduce co-education at primary level that was against the Pakhtunculture.

He alleged that PTI chief Imran Khan wanted to please a non-governmental organisation by introducing such reforms in education sector. He pledged that JUI-F would not allow them to do so.

`Initially, provincial government has selected 767 primary schools in Nowshera for co-education. About 4,600 women teachers will be recruited for the purpose,` said the JUI-F leader.

He said that women teachers would be recruited in all districts. He alleged that Imran Khan wanted to promote European culture.

Mr Haqqani appealed to people to come forward to foil the foreign agenda of PTI. He said that they would besiege the offices of district education of ficers and call all parties conference ontheissue.

Meanwhile, Minister for Excise and Taxation Mian Jamshedud Din and MNA Imran Khattak said that PTI was fulfilling all the promises it made with people during 2013 general elections. They said that PTI was trying to provide natural gas to every home in Nowshera district.

Addressing a public meeting in Behram Kallay, they said that PTI was focusing on undeveloped villages and trying to provide all facilities including gas to them. They said that provincial government spent a huge amount on pipeline for natural gas.
