LAKKI MARWAT: The police on Monday claimed to have foiled terror bids by defusing explosives in Bannu and Lakki Marwat districts.

Officials said that the Bannu police seized hand grenades, antitank mines and safety fuses from a mosque in Mamandkhel Wazir area.

They added that unidentified miscreants had dumped the explosives with an intention to use them in subversive acts.

Meanwhile, officials said that on receiving credible information, a team of the Bargai police station of Lakki Marwat reached Walai Sagai area andfound a hand grenade in the fields there.

They said that two brothers had lost their lives while their father, mother and another brother sustained injuries when their rivals attacked them with hand grenades in the same locality on Sunday.

`During inspection of the crime scene, the police found the grenade and called the experts of the bomb disposal squad to defuse it,` they claimed.-Correspondent
