SAHIWAL: Redistribution and reallocation of financial resources must be done under new population proportion among all federating units of Pakistan.
Jamaat-i-Islami Secretary General Liaqat Baloch said this at a media conference on Tuesday.
He said the fair reallocate of resources was difficult without having accurate population data and for that purpose, the government must hold a census as per the direction of the Supreme Court. He said that after the passage of the 18th Amendment, redistribution and reallocation of both financial and national resources was constitutional binding. He also blamed India for using `Heart of Asia`conference against the strategic interests of Pakistan.
He said both Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz should have known the fact. He said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was a threat to the regional peace. He said his party supported PTI`s petition on Panama Leaks in the Supreme Court, saying it would start a new chapter of accountability.
`The JI will be happy if the petition is accepted and Nawaz is disqualified,` he said. He criticised sugar mills owners for exploiting sugarcane farmers. He demanded that the government arrange jobs for the youth. Correspondent
