LONDON: The Round Table Conference of allIndia leaders and British Ministers at 10 Downing Street tonight [Dec 6] was convened by the British Prime Minister, Mr. Clement Attlee when it became evident early this morning that such a meeting would be acceptable to all concerned, cables Fraser Wighton, Reuter`s political correspondent. The headquarters of both Mr.

Mohammed Ali Jinnah and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru stated on Friday afternoon [Dec 6] that the Indian leaders would meet in Conference with the Prime Minister and members of the Cabinet Mission at Mr. Attlee`s residence.

The Conference came as a climax to a day of strenuous activity aimed at saving the Constitutional talks from collapse. Today`s sequence of events concerning the Indian constitutional talk was: A morning meeting of the Prime Minister Mr.

Attlee, and members of the Cabinet Mission and the Viceroy at 10, Downing Street; an India Office meeting in the morning between the Muslim League President, Mr. M.A. Jinnah, Mr.

Liaquat Ali Khan and the members of the Cabinet Mission and the Viceroy; and an afternoon meeting between Pandit Nehru and the Cabinet Mission and the Viceroy. Dawn Delhi
