KARACHI: A suspected criminal was shot dead in an alleged encounter along Malir Expressway within the remit of the Sharafi Goth police station on Tuesday.

Police identified the killed sus-pect as Barkat Ali and claimed to have recovered one pistol and snatched gold rings from his possession.

A police spokesperson said that the killed suspect was a `most wanted` criminal. He recently snatched the pistol, seized from his custody, from a policeman during a robbery, he added.
