Eight teams formed to inspect Lakki schools

LAKKI MARWAT: The district elementary and secondary education department has formed eight teams to carry out inspection of public sector middle, high and higher secondary schools in the district.

An of ficial said that annual inspection visits, starting from February 12, would be completed till February 26.

He said that the inspection teams headed by DEO Abdus Salam and principals Umar Khan, Bahadar Khan, Khalid Wahab, Sifatullah, Sher Nawaz, Noor Khan and Nazir Khan would communicate inspection schedule to the heads of assigned schools till to February 10.

`The assistant district educationofficers, headmasters, subject specialists and secondary schoolteachers are also members of the inspection teams,` he said. He added that besides checking record and registers, the inspection teams would also evaluate the performance of parentteacher councils.

ACCIDENT: JUI-F MPA Anwar Hayat Khan was injured in a road accident on Indus Highway near Kurram Bridge on Wednesday.

`The vehicle of the lawmaker and Naurang tehsil nazim Maulana Ezazullah collided with a motorcar coming from opposite direction,` said eyewitnesses. They said that MPA was injured in the accident. He was shif ted to a local hospital.

An arm of Mr Hayat was fractured in the mishap but his condition wasstable. Meanwhile, police arrested a man in a child molestation case and recovered a repeater gun with cartridges from him in Naurang town on Tuesday night. Police said that a 10-year-old boy was molested in Mammakhel village on February 6.

NOTICE: Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Bakhtiar took serious notice of absence of government officials from of fices.

`The deputy commissioner has directed the heads of line departments to ensure their presence along with their subordinates in offices and obtain written permission before leaving the station,` said an official.

He added that absence of officials would be reported to the quarters concerned for initiating disciplinary action against them.
