Newly-wed woman shot dead by husband

KARACHI: A newlywed woman was shot dead off Superhighway on late Tuesday night.
SITE-Superhighway Industrial Area police said the deceased, 22-yearold Ramsha, was gunned down in Allah Bux Goth near Ahsanabad on a road.
They suspected her husband`s involvement in the murder.
A police officer said Ramsha had got married to a man, identified as Irfan, around one and a half month ago. It was the second marriage of Irfan, who also held a criminal record as there were over a dozen cases registered against him, and Ramsha was reportedly trying to get divorce from him.
The investigators collected four spent bullet casings from the crime scene.
The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. Police surgeon Dr Summaiya Syed said the victim had a bullet wound on her head, resulting in multiple fractures which led to her death. She also received a firearm wounds on her left hand, with multiple compound fractures.
Man commits suicide A 24-year-old man committed suicide in Pak Colony on early Wednesday morning.
Area SHO Mukhtiar Panhwar said Yusuf Qadir had a quarrel with his family over some issue.
Later on, he went to Benazir Park where he shot himself with his licensed pistol. The body was shifted to the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities.
Two men wounded by robbers A teenager was shot at and wounded by robbers over resistance at Superhighway on Wednesday morning.
Sachal SHO Aurangzeb Khattak said armed robbers snatched Rs3000 from Usman Ghafoor, 18, near Punjab bus terminus.
But when the boy put up resistance, the muggers opened fire on him before fleeing with the looted cash. The wounded boy was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
In another incident, 26-year-old Mehran Khushi was shot and wounded during a robbery on Sharea Faisal near Colony Gate, the Airport police said. The wounded man was shifted to a hospital.
