Last week, Arijit Singh, ace Indian vocalist and arguably the most successful Indian playback singer of the past two decades, created quite a showbiz storm by announcing that he`s quitting playback singing. And he isn`t even 40 yet. Arijit S hasn`t yet fully revealed the reasons behind his decision. In a post on social media, he wrote, `I`m happy to announce that I`m not gonna be taking any new assignments as a playback vocalist from now on. I`m calling it off. It was a wonderful journey.

Whatever the reasons, we will miss his melodic voice in films.
