FAISALABAD: Law-enforcement agencies on Monday took into custody a ‘suspected’ patient from a ward of the Allied Hospital.

Sources told Dawn that the suspect identified as Akbar Ali, 18, of South Wazirastan was under treatment at the surgical unit-I. He was brought to the hospital with a surgery-related issue.

Sources said Ali was taken into custody on Sunday and he had three brothers namely Haji Mohammad, Noor Muhammad and Noor Zaman. Their father Gull Bari is a labourer in Waziristan.

Investigation is under way to determine as to when and why Ali arrived in Faisalabad.
