KHUZDAR: Balochistan police foiled an attempt to shift a kidnapped Karachibased industrialist to the province and recovered him from the Hub area of Lasbela district late on Tuesday evening.

According to the police, four armed men had kidnapped industrialist Ahsan Arshad Ayub Sheikh from the Karsaz area of Karachi and abandoned his car on Monday evening. Karachi police started investigation and made efforts for his recovery.

Meanwhile, CPLC officials informed the Hub police about the kidnapping andsaid that the kidnappers were trying to enter Balochistan via the industrial town of Hub.

The Hub police blocked the highway by deploying heavy contingents of police at all entry points and started checking of vehicles.

A team headed by Additional SP Hub, Zia Mandokhel, recovered Ahsan Arshad Ayub Sheikh from the Civic Centre Hub.

`The kidnappers lef t the industrialist in Civic Centre and escaped from the scene, Mr Mandokhel said, adding that the kidnapped man was handed over to Karachi police. He said the Hub police were conducting raids at different places to arrest the kidnappers.
