RAHIM YAR KHAN: The growth of RY Khan Industrial Estate and Special Economic Zone (SEZ) is linked with an operationalairport.

For this purpose, Punjab Industries Minister Chaudhary Shafay Hussain and Secretary Industries Umar Masood will initiate efforts to make it possible for the start of domestic and international operations from the Shaikh Zayed International Airport.

President of Rahim Yar Khan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RYKCCI) Waleed Ahmed told Dawn on Friday after attending a special meeting with thePunjab industries department high ups, the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) will start a pilot project of mango pulp plant in the local industrial estate soon so that the high quality mango of the area could be exported.

He said the high-ups promised to supply gas to the RY Khan industrial estate.

The industries department will start a new marketing campaign with the collaboration of RYKCCI to attract industrialists from all over Pakistan to start industry in the RY Khan SEZ.

He also discussed different matters in the meeting to resolve the tax issues of ginning and oil industries of RY Khan.
