LAHORE: Investigation police claimed on Tuesday to have arrested 50 suspects under the National Action Plan (NAP) for possessing illegal weapons.

According to a handout, police recovered seven Kalashnikovs, 45 rifles, including 8MM, 244-bore rifles, and seized a huge cache of bullets and cartridgesworth Rs4 million during an operation against illegal weapons in the city.

Senior Superintendent of Police Rana Ayaz Saleem on the directions of Capital City Police Officer retired Capt AminWainsformedinvestigation teams to launch a crackdown on illegal weapons.

Teams from various police stations conducted raids in their areas and arrested 50 criminals and recovered illegal weapons.
