By Our Staff Reporter 2015-04-08
LAHORE: Apca Allied Health Staff Lahore has announced its dissociation from the decision of the Punjab Paramedics Alliance of boycotting the anti-polio drive during the coming protest campaign.

The PPA and Health Support Staff Association had announced on Saturday last province-wide protest from April 13 for not addressing their `genuine` demands.

The office-bearers of both associations had also decided to boycott anti-polio drive to exert pressure on the government.

However, in a statement issued on Tuesday, Apca Allied Health Staff strongly rejected the move.

Association President Suleman Khan said the PPA and Health Support Staff Association`s decision of boycotting the anti-polio drive would defeat the real cause of hospitals` employees.

`We will fully support agitation for resolving the genuine issues of paramedics and allied staff but we will not become part of the uglymove of boycotting the anti-polio campaign, he made it clear adding that the government functionaries should take notice of such moves.
