KASUR: Robbers, in police uniform, shot dead a man and injured two of his sons when they put up resistance during a robbery bid at village Lakha Kalam in the limits of Thai Sheikhum Police Station on Tuesday.
Six alleged robbers forced their entry into the house of Gulzar Hussain and held the family hostage at gunpoint.
They ordered the family to move into a room where they wanted to detain them.
As the family were moving towards the room Gulzar Hussain and his sons, Shah Din and Nadeem, pounced upon the robbers who opened indiscriminate fire. As a result, Hussain died on the spot while both his two sons suffered serious injuries. The injured were taken to DHQ Hospital in a critical condition.
