LAYYAH: Bhakkar District Coordination Officer Muhammad Zaman Wattoo says a strategy has been evolved for the upcoming wheat procurement operation in the district and middle man`s interference will not be tolerated at any procurement centre.

He warned any food grain inspector, if found involved working for middle men, would face action.

He said this at a meeting held to review arrangements for the wheat procurement scheme of 201516 in Bhakkar on Tuesday.The meeting was attended by the ADC, assistant commissioners (ACs), officers of food, agriculture and revenue and the district president of the Kissan Board.

Mr Wattoo directed food officials to finalise arrangements and submit the report on April 12.

He also directed ACs to keep close watch on wheat procurement arrangements in their tehsils.

Food officials said arrangements were unde rway at 14 centres to buy 132,000 metric tonnes of wheat. Correspondent
