SHEIKHUPURA: A woman swindler in a beggar`s guise deprived a family of jewellery, cash and other valuables in Jalcarta Road locality here on Tuesday.

The woman who was a swindler in the guise of a beggar asked the housewife to give her something to eat andwas obliged.

The swindler then gave some sweets to the women present in the house who had the sweets and fell unconscious soon after. The swindler woman collected all the cash, jewellery and other valuables in the house and fled.

B Division police have started investigation.

Meanwhile, police have arrested two men on charges of being drunk in Faroogabad. According to police, Idress and Awais were making a noise under the influence when arrested. A bottle of liquor was also recovered from them, the police said. The police have registered a case.
