Property dispute Three of a family shot dead

TOBA TEK SINGH: Three members of a family were gunned down on Monday near Mauza Waan Mochianwala on Faisalabad-Okara Road in Tandlianwala tehsil of Faisalabad.

Reports said Muzammal, his cousin Ghulam Abbas and mother Zohra Bibi, all residents of Chak 604GB, were on their way to Tandlianwala to appear in court when their rivals ambushed and opened fire on them. All three received multiple bullet wounds and died on the spot.

Sources said the two groups had an ongoing enmity over a property dispute.

Bahlak police shifted the bodies to Tandlianwala THQ Hospital for a postmortem examination.

MISSING: A woman, who was active social media App TikTok, reportedly jumped into the Rakh Branch Canal near a village on Monday.

Reports said Sabiha Khanum, alias Pathani Bibi, had been battling depression.

Rescue workers were searching for her in the canal till the filing of this report.

HONOUR KILLING: A man killed his wife in an `honour-related` incident in Chak 351-GB, Kalyandas, near Gojra on Monday.

According to reports, Haq Nawaz suspected that his wife Nasreen Bibi had relations with a man from the same village. He allegedly strangled her to death.

The deceased was a mother of three minor children.DEATH TOLL: The death toll in a road accident that occurred on Sunday night in Jaranwala has reached 14, as three more injured people succumbed to their injuries on Monday.

A bus collided head-on with a motorcycle loader rickshaw, leaving 17 people including 16 members of the same family from Syedwala, led by lumberdar Rai Riaz Ahmad critically injured, along with the rickshaw driver.

Five died on the spot, while six more died the same night at Tandlianwala THQ and Faisalabad DHQ hospitals.

On Monday, three more victims died at Faisalabad DHQ Hospital.

Meanwhile, Punjab Highway Patrol Police SSP Mirza Anjum Kamal suspended head-constable Muhammad Ramzan and three constables Waqas, Shahbaz and Imdad for negligence, citing failure to control speeding vehicles on the road.

ACCIDENT: Two girls died while as many other minors were injured when a tractor-trolley ran over their motorcycle near Randhawa Chowk on Aminpur Bangla Road in Faisalabad on Monday.

According to Rescue 1122, 14-year-old Noor Fatima and 18-year-old Tanzila Latif died on the spot, while seven-yearold Ayesha Ashfaq and 10-year-old Eiman Shafgat were shifted to the Allied Hospital.

All four belonged to Chak 54-JB.
