AIDS patient dies in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A patient suffering from Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) died on Monday in a village within the Hatri area of Hyderabad district.
Another 30 HIV positive cases, including 29 women and one man, were detected during community screenings privately organised through some technicians by Haleem Adil Shaikh, parliamentary party leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) in Sindh Assembly.
He said that one under-treatment AIDS patient died on Monday in Mevo Hajano village of Hyderabad`s rural taluka.
A total number of confirmed 140 HIV positive cases 73 in Jan-March 2019 period were reported in the Hatri area of Hyderabad during screening by the Peoples Primary Healthcare Initiative (PPHI). Name of the deceased patient was also mentioned in a list prepared by the PPHI in which he was shown as `undertreatment`.-Staff Correspondent
