CPO orders registration of shops, tenants on e-gadget

RAWALPINDI: Expressing concern over low registration of mobile phone shops and hotels located in the district, the city police officer (CPO) has directed the police to ensure registration of shops and tenants on e-gadget hotels eye and travel eye in the wake of security situation and increasing incidents of snatching.

Strict departmental action will be initiated against the police officials who failed to complete the registration of 4,800 mobile phone shops and 1,100 hotels within seven days.

The City Police Officer (CPO) orders to the police ofñcials concerned seeking entry of tenants on hotel eye E-gadgets on software went unnoticed.

In a latest communication, the CPO said that he had earlier issued similar letters to SPs of Rawal, Saddar, Potohar and Kohsar division in which they were directives were issued for the registration of tenants on eye E-gadget but the result was very disappointing.

Additionally, the CPO acknowledged that snatching of mobile phones and cash are on the rise in the district.

There are a total of 4,800 mobile phone shops and 1,100 hotels in the district. Unfortunately, only 44 mobile phone shops had been registered till the end of April which is a question mark on the police working.

He said similarly the registration of hotels and tenants was very poor.

All the SHOs, IOs and muharars must ensure the registration of mobile phone shops and hotels on e-gadget in seven days in the wake of the security situation, otherwise, strict departmental action would be initiated against the responsible.-Staff Reporter
