Two more suspects injured in `encounter` with police

ISLAMABAD: Two more suspects were injured in another encounter in Islamabad, while one of their accomplices managed to escape, according to the police.
Police claimed that the suspects were injured in a crossfire with their accomplice; however, the content of the FIR and the police statement contradict.
A case has been registered at Golra Police Station under sections 324, 353, 186, and 34 of the PPC, along with sections 13 and 20 of the Arms Ordinance, regarding the encounter.
According to the FIR, a seven-member police team had set up a checkpoint at E-12. At approximately 11:15 pm, police spotted three individuals on a motorcycle coming from Shah Allahdita.
The police signaled them to stop; however, all of a sudden, they started firing at police after seeing them. One of them disembarked from the motorcycle and escaped from the spot while resorting to firing at police.
The police also resorted to aerial firing from SMGs in self-defence. Later, police found two suspects injured lying on the ground. They sustained injuries from the firing of their accomplice, the FIR claimed.
The police recovered a pistol and a motorcycle from them. The police said that the motorcycle was snatched from the area of Shah Allahdita.
In a statement, the police claimed that the suspects were escaping after snatching a motorcycle from the area of Golra.
The police team, after getting the information about the motorcycle snatching, set up the checkpoint where they signaled riders of motorcycles to stop.
However, they started firing at police, and later, the police arrested two suspects. The two suspects who escaped after committing robbery were arrested in an injured condition.
The police statement did not mention how the suspect sustained bullet injury.
Besides, as per the FIR, there were three suspects, and the police statement claimed the number of suspects was two.
