HYDERABAD: A man completely shaved off the head of his wife in unit 12 of Latifabad on Sunday in what his spouse said was the ‘punishment for being unfaithful’ but the husband insisted he did it only to rid her of a skin disease she had contracted in the past as well.

A-Section police arrested the man identified as Zulfiqar for shaming his wife, Ghulam Fatima who told police that her husband routinely subjected her to torture. He beat her up last Tuesday and today he disgraced her by shaving off her head, she said.

She said that he always questioned her character and accused her of being unfaithful to him.
