Affiliation of nine paramedical institutes suspended

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has suspended the affiliation of nine paramedical institutes for lack of desired infrastructure and has asked the students not to seek admission in these outlets.
A press release issued from the Faculty of Paramedical and Allied Health Sciences, KP, on Wednesday said the suspended institutes had been barred from admitting students due to lack of facilities.
It said as a first step paramedical institutes throughput the province had been given sufficient time for improvement, adding discipline, transparency and merit would be strictly followed to enhance quality of education and training.
Inspection teams comprising qualified professors had started checking the institutes and the fulfillment of the requirement for teaching and training of the students, the release said, adding the affiliation of nine institutes had been suspended and these have been barred from admitting students until improvement up to satisfaction of the inspection committee.
The institutes included the Peshawar City Institute of Medical Sciences, Gulbahar, Bannu Institute of Medical Sciences, Umar Institute of Medical Sciences, Bannu, Rahman Paramedical Institute, Abbottabad, Emirate Institute of Medical Sciences, Dalazak Road, Peshawar, Khyber Institute of Medical Sciences, Dalazak Road, Bannu College of Medical Technologies, Danish Kadda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bannu, and Islamia Institute of Medical Sciences, Dalazak Road. -Bureau Report
