Lower Dir man killed in roof collapse

LOWER DIR: A man was killed when roof of his house collapsed in Makhai area of Jandol here on Tuesday, local residents said.
They identified the victim as Shafi Anwar. The residents said that the deceased was changing one of the pillars of his house when the roof caved in.
Separately, the bomb disposal squad personnel defused a live hand grenade on the roadside in Amlok Dara Talash.
The BDS personnel were informed about the device by locals. The police registered a case against unknown miscreants and started further investigations.
Also in the day, pickpockets deprived a man of Rs150,000 cash while travelling in a passenger vehicle in the jurisdiction of Ouch police station.
