LANDI KOTAL: A soldier died and two others suf fered injuries when an army patrolling jeep drove over a landmine in the Tirah valley on Monday.

According to officials, a group of soldierswas on a routine patrol in the Maidan area when the landmine exploded.

Soldier Jahangir died while Ageel and Liaqat were injured. They were taken to a military hospital.

Security personnel cordoned off the area and conducted a search operation after the incident, but no arrest was reported.
