Three cousins die in Karak road accident

KARAK: Three persons of a family were killed when their motorcycle was hit by a speeding passenger coach on the Indus Highway here on Monday.

Police sources said three cousins -Samiullah, Qismat Khan and Mohammad Abid residents of Dabb area, were going home on a bike on the Indus Highway when it was struck by a bus coming from the opposite direction near Alwargi stop. Two of the bikers died on the spot, while the third succumbed to wounds at the district headquarters hospital, Karak.

The Banda Daud Shah police booked the bus driver who escaped the area.

Meanwhile, gas supply remained suspended to entire Karak district and southern regions of KP and some parts of Punjab for the second day on Monday as the local people resolved to keep repair work on the main supply line stopped.

On Sunday, the people of Nari Panos and Bahader Khel union councils forced the SNGPL officials to stop repair work on the main line to protest non-provision of gas to their localities. Correspondent
