Gun attack inside moving coach in Mansehra kills passenger

MANSE HRA: A man was killed and two people suffered critical injures in a coach shooting attack here on Monday.
The police said an unidentified man fired gunshots at a moving passenger coach in Gazikot area injuring three passengers including Umar Rehman, Zubair and Shakoor inured.
They said the gunman fled, while the local residents shifted the injured to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital, where Umar Rehman, a resident Allai area in Battagram, succumbed to critical injuries.
The police said the coach was bound for Mansehra from Abbottabad.
They said they registered FIR before beginning raids to arrest the suspected killer.

ARMS SEIZED: The police seized a huge cache of unlicensed arms and ammunition and arrested two people in Kaith Galla area here on Monday.
`The arms and ammunition were being brought in from Peshawar in two vehicles,` deputy superintendent of police Zulfiqar Jadoon told reporters.
He said the action was carried out on a tip-of f.
The DSP said a police party led by the City railway station`s SHO intercepted two vehicles in Kaith Galla area, seized 31,000 bullets and rounds, two Kalashnikovs, and 10 pistols and rifles each, and held smugglers Mahazullah and Mohammad Naveed.
He said the arrested men revealed they`re to sell weapons and ammunition to local dealers.
Mr. Jadoon said the police were investigatingif the seized arms were to be used for terrorism.
He said the police had seized 21,000 bullets last week and arrested two people.
MOCK SECURITY DRILL: The Rapid Response Force on Monday carried out a mock security exercise at the Pakistan Scout Cadet College Batrasi to exhibit its preparedness to counter any terrorist attack at educational institutions.
Such exercises have been carried across Mansehra in the recent times.
During the exercise, the RRF personnel reached the college premises from the police lines in 20 minutes to recover some students held hostage by `terrorists`.
`I`ve retired from the army as brigadier. I must admire the speed at which the RRF personnel reached the college after covering around 18 kilometers and successfully carried out operation against terrorists who held students hostage.
`The whole exercise was carried out in a highly professional manner,` principal Abdul Hafiz told reporters here.
