BAP senator says no differences in party

QUETTA: Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri, convener of the Sub-Committee of Senate on Home Affairs, said on Sunday thatthere are no differencesin the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) and that the party is united under the leadership of Chief Minister Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo.
She also congratulated new cabinet members of Balochistan on taking the oath and expressed the hope that CM Bizenjo and his ministers would play their role in the development of the province.
According to Samina Zehri, CM Bizenjo is sincerely working day and night for the development and prosperity of Balochistan and he will fulfill his promises to the people. She said the chief minister would do his utmost to solve problems of the people by giving attention to them and provide facilities to the people at their doorsteps by completing the public development projects.
She said Mr Bizenjo is striving to alleviate the sense of deprivation in the people of Balochistan.She said the people of Balochistan want development and prosperity in their province.
Ms Zehri further said that the steps taken by Mr Bizenjo are being welcomed and appreciated by the people.
Meanwhile, BAP`s MPA Mahjabeen Sheran criticised her own party for not including even a single female member in the new cabinet.
She expressed her anger on social media, saying: `Congratulations to the Maledominated Cabinet, 14 ministers,5 advisers, not even a single woman.
`It is a big, far-reaching depiction that patriarchy is alive and well,` she added.
She criticised the newly formed government, saying `it is happening at a time when women`s participation in public & political affairs is the need of the hour` A former adviser and parliamentary secretary on information, Bushra Rind, also said she is disappointed that the new cabinet does not have any female member. In reaction, she announced her decision to resign from the office of the BAP`s women organiser.
