The government recently pledged to take various measures to reduce the prices of essential commodities, but not much has been done. All traders big or small are citing the spike in the price of petrol and diesel to justify the spike in the prices of whatever they are selling. The government needs to have some mercy on the general public. And the greatest mercy one expects, practically speaking, is for the government to somehow freeze the prices where they are right now.
