The Sindh Food Authority (SFA) regulates food safety and hygiene in collaboration with manufacturers, businesses, consumers, government departments, autonomous bodies and other stakeholders. The department`s overall performance is good, but it does not take due action against the `stalls mafia` at railway stations, selling low-quality items at exorbitant prices. Even the tea they sell, besides being expensive, is made of chemical powder instead of milk. I wonder what kind of political support this mafia has that makes the SFA turn a blind eye so consistently.
