KARACHI: Two officials from the United States Consulate visited the National Academy of Performing Arts (Napa) on Wednesday and met with Napa Chairman Syed Jawaid Iqbal and CEO Junaid Zuberi to express interest in the Academy`s work.
According to a press release, Director of Public Engagement for Sindh and Balochistan, Tony Jones, and Public Af fairs Officer, Michael Chadwick, showed interest in Napa`s teaching programs and asked the Chairman about potential future collaborations between the US Consulate and the Academy.
They also inquired about the historical Hindu Gymkhana building that houses the Academy, as well as the student body at Napa, including their age groups and gender distribution. The Napa Chairman, CEO, and the Heads of the Music and Theater departments briefed the visitors about the Academy`s operations and its future plans. The US officials were also given a tour of the Zia Mohyeddin Theater at Napa.
