THIS is apropos the letter `Islamabad park` (Oct 31). The writer has correctly pointed out a major black spot in the main F-9 park.
This park is probably the oldest and is most frequented and is known as Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah Park. Once this black spot used to be a clean freshwater stream.
Unfortunately, it has now been turned into an open gutter. How can such a recreational park in the middle of beautiful Islamabad be allowed to exist by the CDA? The new Islamabad mayor, who is also acting as CDA chairman, is doing a good job by building new roads. He has launched a cleanliness drive. One hopes the CDA will now remove this black spot.
